Celebrate our 19th Gala with us on 10.19.19
This is the place to be to grow parent-to-parent support in Colorado!
We return to Saturday night for Climbing the Peaks.
Interested in helping out on the committees for live or silent auction items, entertainment Colorado mountain decor? There’s still time to join the gala committee at email@example.com.
Climbing the Peaks happens on Saturday, October 19 back at the Colorado casual Two Penguins Tap & Grill.
You won’t want to miss our annual evening dedicated to raising funds for our services for families raising children who are deaf or hard of hearing, and the networking among like-minded people who believe in our motto: “what works for your child is what makes the choice right.” TM
Last year, we recognized educator and early interventionist Dinah Beams for a special advocacy award, and Representative Millie Hamner was on hand to accept the 2018 Families First Award on behalf of four sponsors of the HB 18-1006 bill, including Senator Dominick Moreno, Representative Larry Liston, and Senator Bob Gardner signed into law last June.
Submit your nominations now for the 2019 award!
Can’t get enough of H&V and want to join our volunteer committee? In past years, auction items have included everything from a Ryobi toolset to the 21 person Party Bus donated by Believe Kids, exclusive bottles of wine, a Steamboat condo, ReSound Linx hearing aids, and Hydroflask water bottles at the “Red, White or Water” wine or water bottle pull. We also auctioned off hotel stays, concert tickets, a collection of wine from our friends at Children’s Hospital Colorado, Buell Theater tickets for two, an American Furniture Warehouse gift certificate, a FloBots signed album, cupcake decorating set, Arapahoe and Ski Cooper lift tickets, handmade jewelry, a refinished rocker, and even vintage Colorado history books to carry out our Colorado theme. We are looking for items that would surprise and delight our guests and the auction committee!
Never attended our benefit before?
The staff at the Two Penguins was attentive and welcoming, providing a delicious buffet. Key Lime and Lemon Bars offered by Das Meyer Pastries, two Napoleon Cakes by The French Kitchen, gluten-free red velvet cake by Kim and Jakes Cakes, NothingBundtcakes and apple crisp from Forest Hill Bakery rounded out the evening.
Guests purchased tables or individual tickets for the large event center, and we had the entire space to enjoy food and drink, auction items, speakers and live music. Guests enjoyed five complimentary beers and a cider along with the full cash bar for any specific wish. Last year, we enjoyed a DJ from Blue Moon Entertainment (deaf-owned!) This year, we have a few more surprises in store.
We offer interpreting and CART services for access to communication.
We are so grateful for 18 years of sponsorship from these organizations below.
Can’t wait to see everyone!
